Community Attendance Policy

This policy only applies to free Spaces and free community events.

It does not apply to paid events unless the organiser chooses to enable it.

A no-show happens when a member RSVPs to a free Space, does not attend, does not cancel before the cancellation deadline, and does not contact the organiser with a valid reason.

You'll receive a friendly reminder explaining why attendance matters. No restrictions apply.

You'll receive a warning. For the next 10 days your priority for free Spaces may be reduced and you may be placed on the waitlist before other members.

You won't be able to RSVP for free Spaces for 10 days.

You can still browse BLACQ.app, use your Creative Passport, join Communities, use Circles, apply for Opportunities and attend paid Spaces.

Your ability to book free Spaces will automatically return after the 10-day period.

If you attend five free Spaces in a row without a no-show, your strike count resets to zero.

If you go 90 days without another no-show, your strikes also reset automatically.

We understand life happens. If you can't attend, cancel your place before the event starts.

BLACQ administrators and organisers can remove a strike in exceptional circumstances such as illness, family emergency, travel disruption or other reasonable situations.

When creating a free Space, organisers can choose whether the Community Attendance Policy applies.

Within the Creative Passport, members can view free Spaces booked, Spaces attended, cancellations, no-shows, active strikes and attendance status.
