Last updated July 2026

1. About BLACQ.app

BLACQ.app is a professional creative community platform for adults aged 18 and over. It helps creatives, founders, hosts and businesses connect through Spaces, Communities, Creative Passports and real-world events.

BLACQ.app is operated by BLACQ Space in the United Kingdom.

2. Age restriction

You must be 18 or over to create an account or use BLACQ.app.

BLACQ.app is an adults-only platform for people aged 18 and over. By creating an account you confirm you are at least 18 years old. If we believe someone under 18 is using the app we will suspend or delete their account. Some Spaces, events and venues promoted on BLACQ.app take place in licensed premises where attendees must be 18 or over and may be asked to show valid ID on entry.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account.

Please give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.

Do not share your account, and let us know straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.

4. Your content

You own the content you upload to BLACQ.app.

By posting, you give BLACQ.app a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, share and promote that content within the app and across related BLACQ channels (for example, community highlights, social media and marketing).

You can remove your content at any time. Copies may remain in backups for a short period before they are cleared.

5. Intellectual property

BLACQ.app, BLACQ Space, the BLACQ brand assets, logo, design, product names, "Creative Passport", "Community Credits", "Spaces", "Communities" and related platform language are owned by BLACQ Space unless stated otherwise.

You may not copy, reuse or adapt our brand, design or product language without written permission.

6. Creative Passport

Your Creative Passport is your professional identity on BLACQ.app.

It may include your bio, work, skills, links, event activity, recommendations and community activity.

You choose what to add. You can update, hide or delete Creative Passport information at any time.

7. Community rules

You must not use BLACQ.app to harass, abuse, threaten, discriminate against or bully anyone.

You must not spam, impersonate other people or brands, scam users, scrape data, upload harmful files, or share illegal content.

Full rules are in our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Events and Spaces

Users attend events and Spaces at their own risk and must follow venue rules, event rules and any safety guidance.

Some events may have extra terms set by the host or venue. These will be shown before you book or check in.

Many BLACQ.app events take place in licensed premises where attendees must be 18 or over. Bring valid photo ID where required.

9. Business directory

Businesses listed on BLACQ.app must give accurate, honest information.

BLACQ.app does not guarantee the quality, safety or outcome of any third-party service. Please do your own checks before buying, booking or working with a listed business.

10. Creators

Creators are responsible for making sure they own or have permission to use the content they upload.

You confirm your content does not breach copyright, trademark or any other person's rights.

11. AI-generated content

AI-generated content is allowed where it is clearly lawful, not misleading, and does not infringe anyone's rights.

You remain fully responsible for anything you publish, whether it is made by you, by AI, or by a mix of both.

Do not use AI to impersonate real people, create sexual content of others, or produce misleading deepfakes.

12. Payments and refunds

BLACQ.app may offer memberships, event tickets, subscriptions, premium features and partner offers.

Prices, fees and refund terms may vary by product or event and will be shown to you at checkout before you pay.

For event tickets sold through BLACQ.app, BLACQ.app charges a small platform fee. Refunds are handled by the event host under the Event Terms unless we say otherwise.

Your consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

13. Account suspension and removal

BLACQ.app may warn, restrict, suspend or delete accounts that break our rules, put people at risk, misuse the platform or create legal risk for us or the community.

Where possible we will tell you why, unless doing so would put someone at risk or breach the law.

14. Reporting and moderation

You can report content, users, events or businesses through the in-app report tools or by emailing us.

We review reports and may take action, including removing content, restricting features or removing accounts. See our Safety & Reporting Policy for detail.

15. Blocking

You can block other users on BLACQ.app.

Depending on the feature, blocking may stop the other person from messaging you, seeing your Creative Passport or interacting with your content.

16. Copyright and trademark complaints

If you believe content on BLACQ.app infringes your copyright or trademark, email us at hello@blacq.app with:

• Your full name and contact details, and, if you are acting for someone else, who you represent.

• A description of the work being complained about, including a link or reference.

• The URL or exact location of the content on BLACQ.app.

• A statement made in good faith that you believe the use is not authorised by the rights owner, their agent or the law.

• A statement that the information in your report is accurate.

We may remove content while we investigate.

17. External links

BLACQ.app may link to third-party websites, services or content. We are not responsible for what those third parties do, host or say.

Please check any external terms and privacy policies before using them.

18. App availability

We work hard to keep BLACQ.app running, but the app may be updated, changed, paused, temporarily unavailable or removed due to maintenance, technical issues or business reasons.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

19. Security

Do not try to hack, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, copy, resell or disrupt any part of the BLACQ.app platform.

Do not test our security without written permission.

20. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, BLACQ.app is not responsible for indirect losses, loss of profits or opportunity, user-generated content, third-party services, event outcomes, or decisions you make based on content in the app.

Our total liability to you, where allowed by law, is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make important changes we will let you know in the app or by email.

Continued use of BLACQ.app after changes means you accept the latest version.

22. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England & Wales.

23. Contact
